My specialty is organization. I am very good at taking chaos and making it manageable.

My sales experience has taught me very good listening skills. My Engineering experience has taught me to be technologically savvy and to collaborate with others to solve problems. My years as a Marketing / Advertising Manager. taught me to supervise people with diverse personalities. My computer skills are strong. Multi-tasking and tight deadlines are a way of life.

Sales

As a Sales Manager I managed 124 distributor accounts covering, at one time or another, all of the Midwest and Northeast, parts of the South and West, and five Canadian provinces. I traveled extensively. The company I worked for manufactured industrial washers/extractors and dryer/tumblers in a highly competitive market. We sold through distributors who had a choice of different manufacturers to promote.

My primary duties included maintaining relationships with distributors, troubleshooting problems, and acting as a general customer interface with all facets of the company including Sales, Engineering, Accounts Receivable/Payable, Parts and Service, and Manufacturing. I was responsible for increasing our market share by working closely with distributors and helping them improve their market share. I was responsible for pursuing and evaluating potential new distributors. (Top)

Engineering

As Engineering Coordinator I performed a variety of duties, primarily quality control and engineering troubleshooting requiring drawing modifications, Bills-of-Material changes, and costing reports. I was responsible for all Owner/Operator manuals including foreign language translations. I was able to devise a new way of updating and printing the manuals that saved the company $20,000+ yearly and greatly improved information accuracy. I coordinated all facets of trade shows. I further developed and managed the Quality Improvement Team that acted as a watchdog group for quality issues and production efficiency. I was responsible for international approvals including the European health and safety directives, CE (European Community) mark, and ISO-9001 certification efforts. (Top)
